mums got the message. *
I think Mum’s got the message now, bout all this eco stuff! Last night she came into my room and and started to nag at me coz my clothes were all over the place. Nothing strange there then, coz she is always splodie about my room coz it’s always a mess!
Then she really surprised me, she had such a good reason! She said that if I folded my jeans and things every time I took them off, they wouldn’t be full of wrinkles and folds and I could wear them again without Mum having to wash and iron them. Then it would make total eco-sense coz it would save on electricity and water and no smelly washing powder would drain into our world!
Hello! Not a lot I could say about that, so I’ve just gone through my room and folded all the clobber that was on the floor. All except my pants, I don’t want to wear them twice…………………..sooooooooooo gross.
I’m totally cool that Mum wants to be an eco-warrior too, but I’m thinkin that she’s a bit too good at it now. Just hope she’s gonna make my smelly little brother tidy his room too!
Even I’ve been doing a lot more thinking about all this global warming stuff and I still don’t think that my family is doing difference.
I talked to Mum and Dad about it weeks ago, but as far as I can see they haven’t really changed anything, so I’m gonna have to take control in our house. I’m going to check out things like what kind of lightbulbs we use, have we got any drippy taps and how often does Dad use the car when he doesn’t really have to! He’s sooooo lazy, he doesn’t seem to walk anywhere.
Then I’m going to get Mum and Dad to calculate their carbon footprints on the internet and I think they’ll be totally shocked. Maybe then they will listen to me and start being responsible.
It’s real easy to check out your carbon footprint, but you’ll probably have to ask your Rents for some info before you start. There are loads of websites that calculate it for you, but I’ve added a link to this to make it easy-peasey.
Some losers think that this is just soooooo boring, but it reeally matters. This world is such a groovy place, but grown- up’s are just making one great big mess of it. Come on lets show them we know better. There are sooooooo many ways we can help, so keep visiting me here on misspinkpaper, lets all say “NO2CO2″ and do this together. I’ve got loads of ideas, but but I bet you have too. Lets share our ideas and really make things happen! ough. You really don’t have to do too much to make a really big .
